You can paint vinyl siding if you’ve taken the appropriate steps to promote adhesion. To prevent peeling and flaking, clean the siding using a pressure washer. For best results, take the time to scrub the vinyl with a water-based degreasing cleanser. Once the siding is clean and dry, apply an exterior acrylic primer, using either a roller or sprayer. Allow the primer base to dry for at least two hours; then add one to two coats of exterior acrylic paint.
